HOLISTIC RIDING CENTER
Offering an Innovatitive Experience
for Both Horse and Rider
Susan is pleased to announce the launch of the Big House Stables Holistic Center for Horse and Rider. As a Centered Riding® instructor, and coordinator of the Holistic Center for Horse and Rider, Susan's mission is to introduce her students to a holistic method of riding based on trust, cooperation and balance.
Her journey to alleviate pain and discomfort in her horses and her students has brought together a team of skilled human & equine bodywork practitioners. This team will look at the horse and rider as a whole, as well as individually. Then assess if there is an issue associated with the horse, the rider, or both and work together to remedy the problem.
FOR THE HORSE: Horses often have unknown physical problems which cause behavior problems, and they are falsely accused of being "a Bad horse". When in truth their poor behavior is the only way they can tell you something is wrong. Susan's team includes the following expirenced Equine Practitioners.
Barbara Merrow-Burberry
Certified Equine Acupressure Practitioner
Bonny Henderson, DVM
IVCA Certified Equine Chiropractic Adjustments
Deborah Koester, TPM
Equine Myofascial Therapist
FOR THE RIDER: Some riders also have limited movements and stiffness which are known or unknown to them which significantly affect the horse in his ability to carry out his riders wishes. Susan's team includes the following expirenced Human Practitioners.
Suzie Coleman, RN
Licensed Massage Therapist
Ellen Fabrowicz, LMT
Craniosacral Therapist
Sam Nelson, PH.D.
Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner
