Mel on the trail

Mel, our Belgium-Thoroughbred cross, came to Big House Stables as a five year old. His balanced disposition and versatility (ie, Foxhunting, dressage, jumping and trail riding) make him ideal for any taller or heavier horseman.

Mel enjoys taking beginners and the more advanced rider not only around the arena but safely out on the trails too. He has a real talent for collected flat work and jumping, and is a lot of fun.
