Practitioners
Susan has gathered a team of skilled human and equine practitioners, and brought them together at Big House Stables to help BOTH the horse and the rider.
FOR THE HORSE: |

|
Barbara Merrow-Burberry
Certified Equine Acupressure Practitioner
Reiki Healer
Developed from the tradition of Chinese acupuncture, Equine Acupressure balances all systems of the horse’s body to optimize the body's natural ability to heal, and maintain a sense of well being by reducing fear, anxiety, and stress, relieving muscle spasms and stiffness, and strengthening the immune system.

Bonny Henderson, DVM
IVCA Certified Equine Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustments restore the full range of motion to the skeletal system by correcting fixed or limited joint motion, & the resulting muscle tightness. This allows the horse to move freely, train without physical discomfort, limitation, or resistance, and compete at a higher level while using less energy. |

|
Deborah Koester, TPM
Equine Myofascial Therapist
Reiki Healer
Equine Myofascial Therapy is a form of soft tissue
therapy applied with the goal of eliminating pain,
increasing range of motion, and balancing the horses
body through muscular massage. Deb also has a back
ground in corrective trimming, saddle fitting, nutrition, and sports therapy. |
| FOR THE RIDER: |

|
Suzie Coleman, RN
Licensed Massage Therapist
Specializing in Neuromuscular (NM) Therapy, Suzie works with Susan Kelley in the ring identifying restrictions in the rider's body, then tailoring NM re-patterning exercises to each rider on and off the horse. NM Therapy releases tense muscles freeing the rider to move with the horse, and the horse to better carry the rider. |

|
Ellen Fabrowicz, LMT
Craniosacral Therapist
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a subtle, non-invasive treatment that addresses the functioning of the nervous system, and therefore the whole body. CST is affective in decreasing chronic pain and speeds the recovery from acute pain caused by recent trauma. Relieving chronic stress and tension in the body, the rider is more focused and supple, allowing a deeper connection with the horse. |

|
Sam Nelson, PH.D.
Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner
The Feldenkrais® Method aims to enable individuals to perform with minimum effort and maximum efficiency. It uses gentle movements to reprogram the nervous system. The result is increased awareness, greater ease of movement, and increased ability to move with your horse. |
